 About Zoomswap
 
o       What does it cost to sign up for zoomswap.com?
Zoomswap.com membership is free. You can sign up by going to www.zoomswap.com and creating your free zoomswap account (Create an Account).
 
o       What does it cost to submit a property?
It is free to submit a property to the zoomswap database.
 
Property Listings
 
o       How long will my listing remain in the zoomswap database?
Your listing will remain in the zoomswap database for six (6) months. 30 days prior to your listings’ expiration date, you will receive an automated email prompting you to either renew your listing for another 6 month period (FREE) or delete it (if it has sold or been removed from the market). By expiring all listings after 6 months, we ensure that the database is always stocked with up to date information. 
 
o       What happens to my listing if I do not renew it before the 6 months is up?
If you do not renew your listing before the 6 months is up, it will automatically be placed in the inactive status and will not show up in zoomswap’s search results. However, the listing will not be deleted from your account.
 
o       How can I get more exposure for my listing?
You can increase your property’s exposure to potential buyers by upgrading to one of our four Property Plans. 
 
  1. Enhanced Photo Package – this package allows you the ability to add up to 8 property photos that will be visible to potential buyers;
  2. Featured Placement – when you upgrade to Featured Placement, your property always appears at the top of the search results and is one of the first listings a potential buyer sees. It is color coded to distinguish it from the remaining listings in the search results;
  3. Showcase Placement – when you upgrade to Showcase Placement, you increase exposure for your property by featuring it on Zoomswap's home page. Showcase Properties receive a high level of exposure, visibility and click-throughs due to strategic placement right underneath the Search box;
  4. Enhanced Listing Package – when you purchase the Enhanced Listing Package, you get all of the wonderful upgrades listed above for a discounted price.
You can upgrade your listing by logging into your account and selecting the Manage Listings option from the Account Overview menu located on the right. Once the list of your listings appears, click on Manage Listing next to the listing you want to upgrade, then click on Upgrade. You can also upgrade your listing by pulling it up in the search results, then clicking on Upgrade Your Listing in the Options box.
 
o       Can I enter multiple property listings?
You can enter as many separate property listings as you’d like.
 
o       Can I upload more than two photos?
The standard free listing allows you to upload two property photos. If you would like to upload additional photos, you can upgrade your listing to the Enhanced Photo Package, which allows you to upload up to eight (8) property photos. Simply login to your account and go to Manage Listings under the Account Overview menu.
 
o       How do I update the status of my listing?
You can change the status of your listing by logging into your account and selecting Manage Listings from the Account Overview menu on the right. Your listing must be in the Active status in order to be visible to potential Buyers in the search results. By changing the status of your listing to Inactive, you will remove it from the zoomswap database, but not from your account. 
 
o        How do I edit or delete my listing?
You can edit/delete your listing by logging into your account and selecting Manage Listings from the Account Overview menu on the right. Once you find the listing you’d like to edit or delete, select the desired action from the Options menu to the right of each listing. You can also find your listing using the Search engine on our home page. Select to view your listing and you will see a box of Options in the top right corner.
 
o       What if my house is already listed by a realtor?
If your house is already listed by a realtor, you can and should still submit your property to zoomswap.com or you can have your realtor submit it. Zoomswap.com is designed as an additional marketing tool for home owners and realtors, and offers an alternative to traditional property sales in a challenging market. 
 
o       What if I have more then one house to trade/sell?
That’s not a problem. You can enter as many property listings as you wish.
 
o       Is Zoomswap a real estate broker?
No. Zoomswap is designed as an additional tool for property owners and real estate agents to help them sell or trade their properties in a challenging real estate market. We do not serve as real estate agents, we do not negotiate the deals for you, we do not collect any commissions.
 
o       If I am a real estate agent, can I add my photo and company information?
Yes. When you sign up for an account, select “Agent” in the “I am a…” section and you will be able to enter your contact information as well as you photo, which will appear on the search results within your property summary box.
 
o       Will my contact information be shared with everyone I have a match with?
No. You can contact the other Seller via the Contact Seller link in the Options box on the Property Detail page.
 
Property Searches
 
o       How do I search properties?
On the home page, enter your criteria into the Search box and click Search. You will receive a list of properties sorted by best matches according to the criteria you’ve selected. Keep in mind that the fewer criterions you put in, the more results you will get. The top of your results list always shows Featured Properties first – they are distinguished from all other properties by the orange background. You can now sort your search results by property type, square footage or price. You can also Refine you search by using the selections in the far left column. You can also go to Advanced Search for a more detailed search.
 
o       Why do you ask about what I am selling?
You can fill out the What I am Selling portion of the Search box if you would like to find Two-May matches. A Two-Way match comes up when you’ve found a property you like and that property’s owner is looking for a property matching the property you are selling.
 
o       What is a One-Way match?
A One-Way match displays properties which meet the search criteria you’ve entered in the “What I am Looking for” section of the search box.
 
o       What is a Two-Way match?
A Two-Way match displays properties which meet the search criteria you’ve entered in the “What I am looking for” section of the search box AND in the “What I am selling” section. It means that you’ve found a home that matches what you are looking for and whose owners’ search criteria match what you are selling. You’ve potentially found a trade. All that you need to do now is contact the seller and make the deal. Or you can have your realtor or attorney do it for you, if you prefer.
 
o       Can I contact a potential seller?
Yes, you can contact a potential seller by clicking on Contact Seller in the Options box when you are viewing the property’s details.
 
Technical Support
 
o       Log in problems. I receive the message “Invalid Login”
Please make sure that you enter in your entire email address (i.e. name@address.com) when logging in along with your password. If this does not work please follow the steps below to retrieve your password.
 
o       What do I do if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, click on the “Forgot Password” link in the Login box, enter your email address associated with your zoomswap account and your password will be emailed to you. If you no longer have access to the email address you signed up with please email us by clicking the "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page.
 
o       How do I change my account info?
You can change or update your account information by logging into your account and clicking on My Account from your ZS desktop.
